Speaker/Topic Information:

- Art of Negotiation
          Rob Johnson, DMG MORI

Negotiation – a dialogue between two or more people or parties intended to reach a beneficial outcome. Whether consciously or unconsciously we are constantly in negotiation, both in work and with family. As Dr. Chester Karras states, “In business as in life, you don’t get what you deserve you get what you negotiate.” Centering on the art of negotiation within a business environment and knowing that poor negotiation can cripple a company just as quickly as losing key customers, the focus of the workshop will be on the rhythm, emotion and key strategies that can be implemented to create a successful win-win outcome.

- A Simpler Path to Profitability
          Erik Skie, CliftonLarsonAllen

Improving profitability does not require an MBA. In fact, the path to profitability is a relatively simple one if you know the steps to travel. In this session we will walk through the role that sales, operations and finance play together in achieving superior profitability.

- Tools You Can Use to Improve the Price, Delivery & Quality of Your Company
          Mark Lilly, Synergy Resources

Price, Delivery & Quality:  Some say that you have to pick only two, that you can’t have all three.  Attend this presentation to learn methods that drive improvements in one, two, or even all three!  Use these tools in your company to find opportunities to present aggressive pricing strategies to your marketplace, dramatically improve on-time Delivery and even shorten lead times to new or existing customers, and gain a reputation for Quality that precedes your sales people.

- Fuel Your Social Media Strategy with Content and Engagement (lunch presentation)

84% of B2B marketers use social media in some shape or form, but are they utilizing it as the powerful referral and lead generation tool that it is? Are you? Discover how you as a B2B marketer can increase brand awareness and engagement with the ideal combination of social media and content marketing.

- Coaching for Improved Performance
          Ron Kaminski, CultureShoc

As a leader, are you inspiring and getting the most out of your people?  Or are you just supervising and demanding compliance?  In this session, you'll learn the keys to coaching your team so that what you say makes a difference!  Ron Kaminski's practical approach will help you meet your coaching challenges head on and accelerate your growth as a leader.

- Multi-Generational Workplace - Conflict & Communication
              Moderator: Kelly Kasner, NTMA
Panelists: Bob Mosey, Matt Wardle, Mark Hollingsworth
Through this interactive panel discussion, we will understand how to compare and contrast the values & potential outcomes of generational interaction; consider & identify potential problems for an organization when people from different generations fail to communicate effectively; compare and identify differing feedback styles & their impact and develop strategies for effective cross-generational communication and leadership. Our featured panelists will share their experiences and engage with attendees on successful best practices for a positive multi-generational workplace.

- One Voice Panel Discussion - Influencing The Manufacturing Agenda
Moderator: Omar Nashashibi, The Franklin Partnership
Panelists: Courtney Wagner, Mark Lashinske, Mark Vaughn and Theresa Beach-Shelow

One of the goals of the NTMA Emerging Leaders Team is to create interest and heighten awareness of how and why emerging leaders should be active in government affairs. We believe in attracting a ‘new generation’ of impassioned people to make a difference, further the initiative and strengthen the future of One Voice. From this discussion, you will learn about One Voice and its successes on the manufacturing agenda and also hear from a number of panelists about why they are committed to advocacy efforts.

- The Future State of Manufacturing Address
          Omar Nashashibi, The Franklin Partnership

The manufacturing climate is growing increasingly unpredictable. Government policies already make American manufacturers 20% less globally competitive and the race for the White House is adding even more uncertainty. Questions surround whether any overseas markets will rebound or will the U.S. remain the only growth zone. This is an opportunity to hear how the elections will affect your bottom line, which coming regulations will increase your overhead, and what sectors of the economy analysts expect to see grow in the coming years. A healthy future for manufacturing involves a lot of moving parts from interest rates to energy costs to export opportunities and workforce recruitment. Mr. Nashashibi will address the Future State of Manufacturing and provide insight into what the industry can expect in the coming years.
